Day 16

The white count slipped a little bit more, but the rate of descent is slowing. The count this morning was 3.1, down from 4.3 yesterday. Neutrophil count was 1.86.

Reds continue to move up. Platelets were up nicely to 142. Hemoglobin was 10.9. Not bad.

I'm still on track to get out on Tuesday. I'll get out about noon. Then on Wednesday morning I'll go to one of the blood labs at 7:00 to get blood drawn and then on to the ATC (BMT ambulatory treatment center) on the 10th floor for infusions of whatever the blood work dictates that I need.

We're having scattered thundershowers here today, so I guess I will stay in most of the day. LOL

You are hilarious. Glad your counts are doing well - bet you can't wait until Tuesday.

I'm staying with Madison on Thursday. I figure we will be doing a little driving now that my car is all better. I really can't believe she's old enough to drive!

About to head out to softball practice. I'm still upset about FSU losing last night and UF winning. Bobby Bowden is definitely on the decline. Oh well.

I love you!

Aunt Mary Jane called to ask about you, Lynda and the girls. She said they are remembering you all in prayer and sending good wishes. We are all excited that you will soon be out of your hospital room. Our "thank you, Lord" prayers are continuing. Love, H & A

Bro,

Alot of info to digest for us. Keep it coming. Very interesting to say the least.
We're all learning from "Dr. Max".
You must have slept at the Holiday Inn Express last night!
Keep those white counts on the rise!

Max,
White counts, red counts, blood work, and all the other counts...how do you keep up with all the information? Do you keep a journal or a log, or do you just have a brain that can store medical information like that? I am totally amazed with your knowledge of what is going on in your body. I suspect that you are one of very few patients who actually "get" what is happening. Are the doctors impressed or do you just save your knowledge for us!!! Anyway, as all the others have expressed...I too am getting a very good education and sometimes I feel like there will be a test at the end when you get home...so I best read carefully!!!
Glad you enjoyed all the football this weekend...and I am glad you said that Houston is getting rain...it can get really dry there sometimes.
Thoughts, prayers, and blessings to you,
Cathy

Not many more days until you see Lynda!!!!!! I am happy for you both. I pray these are good days ahead and Tues you will advance to the next step. Like others, we rejoice that all is going so well. You are a trooper and so is your family.

We love you,
